Darryl R. "Darryl D" Jordan Sr., Age 45, of Hammond, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Methodist Hospital Northlake Campus in Gary. Survivors: wife, Brandi; 3 sons, Brandon Sr. of Gary and Darryl Jr. of Chesterton, IN; Brandon Edmonds of Portage; 1 daughter, Kalyn Jenkins of Hammond; 1 grandson, Brandon Jr.; mother, Bonita Jordan of Gary; 2 brothers, Algie M. (Sharon) Jordan III of Fayetteville, NC and Dione Brown of Indianapolis; 2 sisters, Dakota Smith and his twin, Denita Jordan, both of Gary and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by father, Algie Jordan Jr. and mother-in-law, LaVerne Jenkins. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012 11am Unity Baptist Church, 2019 Connecticut Street, Gary. Rev. Jerry Protho Officiating. Interment Fern Oaks Cemetery, Griffith. Visiation will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012 Unity Baptist Church from 10 to 11 am prior to the funeral service. Mr. Jordan was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Hinton & William Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
