She was born in Shell Lake on July 15, 1964, to Robert and Janyce Link of Minong.
She graduated from Northwood High School, Minong, in 1982 and attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, majoring in hotel restaurant management.
Jody married Todd Benson of Drummond on Dec. 7, 1985. They resided in Wascott. Jody managed Link Bros. Furniture in Minong for several years, managed Longbranch Saloon restaurant in Minong for three years, and most recently was employed at Link Recreational in Minong as a sales person.
Among those who survive are her husband and their three children, Michael, Sarah, and Matthew; her parents, of Minong; four sisters, Jill (Mark) Larson of Apple Valley, Minn., Joy (Jerad) Pierce of Trego, Stacey (Chris) Terry of Mantorville, Minn., and Tracey (Mark) Mooberry of Minong; nine nieces and nephews; and her paternal grandmother, Adaline Link of Minong.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 21, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Minong. Pastor Craig Nelson will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Calvary Lutheran Church.
Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Minong.
Pall bearers will be Bart and Jeff Moreland, Jay and Troy Link, Mark Paitl, and Dean Olson.
