Billy Don Harper of Spiro was born February 14, 1955, in Tucker, Oklahoma to Fred Lee and OnaBell (Shehorn) Harper and passed away November 16, 2012, in Poteau, Oklahoma at the age of 57. He was a member of the Eagles and loved to garden. Billy loved his family and his grandkids. He worked for the (ISS) Spiro School System. He is survived by two sons, Nick Harper of Spiro, OK and Michael Harper of Spiro, OK; two sisters, Francis Dees of Spiro, OK and Shirley Collins of Spiro, OK; four brothers, Elmer Jay Harper, Jerry Harper, Junior Harper and Robert Harper, all of Spiro, OK; four grandchildren, Bryson, Natalee, Addison and Cash; and the mother of his children, Charlotte Harper. Billy was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorothy Lovell and Carol Gean Evans; one infant brother, Jewell Harper and one brother, David Harper. Services will be Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 at Spiro First Baptist Church. Interment will be at New Hope Cemetery.
