Grace J. Olsen, 70, of 2503 Park Drive died Tuesday at a local hospital. Services are pending at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation or St. Francis Medical Center's home health care program.

Mrs. Olsen was born July 25, 1914, at Kingman, Kan., the daughter of Henry and Jennie Davis Endicott., When she was 6, the family moved to Oklahoma City, where she grew up and received her education. She worked for seven years at the Oklahoma City Physicians Clinic.
On April 21, 1935, she married Ivan E. Olsen in Oklahoma City. They lived there until 1942, when they moved to Hastings. They moved to Enid, Okla., in 1942, and in 1948 moved to Columbus. They came to Grand Island in 1954. Mrs. Olsen owned and operated a children's ready-to-wear store for seven years. After selling the business she worked at Lutheran Hospital for 13 years as office manager. She retired in 1976 due to failing health. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Grant (Jennifer) Harner of Lincoln; a son, Navy. Capt. David Olsen, stationed in Misowa, Japan; two sisters, Mrs. Lewen (Betty) Thompson of Salina, Kan, and Mrs. Ramey (Cleo) Minter of Oklahoma City, three grandsons and a granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a brother.
