Darke County Death
James A. Adkins, 72,of 311 Pine Street, Greenville, who for over thirty years carried mail on rural routes out of Greenville post office died at 6 a.m. Sat. at Wayne hospital after an extended illness. Surviving are his wife, Cora and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Viets of Dayton and Mrs. Clate Riegle of Ft. Jefferson.
Funeral services were conducted at the Christian church in Greenville at 2:30 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Frank Thomas officiating. Burial was at Ft. Jefferson.
(Miller Funeral Home Records stated that James Alexander Adkins was born June 19,1972 at Vandalia,Ill.,the son of Riley and Hester (McCool) Adkins.)
