Robert was born on Feb. 6, 1925 in Melrose, Mass., the son of Ernest Roylett and Elsie Mae (Parsons) Graves.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving as Seaman First Class on the Coast Guard Destroyer USS Pettit.
He was a member of Morrison Lodge 90 F&AM, Northwood, a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies of Dover-Portsmouth, and a member of Crescent Chapter 45, Order of the Eastern Star of Northwood. Robert loved hunting and fishing.
Robert is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. (McKay) Graves; a daughter, Merry Graves Jennison and son-in-law, Douglas; a daughter, Brenna Graves Peabody and son-in-law, Thurston; a son, Robert Graves, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Linda; a daughter, Lonna Graves Basham and son-in-law, James, and a daughter, Audrey Graves MacKenzie and son-in-law, Bruce; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth Pickett of Woburn, Mass., and Nettie June Amazeen of Wakefield, Mass.; four brothers, Harry Graves of Northwood, Clifford Graves and his wife, Barbara, of Melrose, Mass., Lee Graves of Melrose, Mass., and Harvey Graves and his wife, Shirley, of Maitland, Fla.

Dwight V. Meader, officiating. Burial will immediately follow at the Ridge Cemetery, Northwood.
