Raymond Leonard, Jr. was born December 25, 1934 to Vernell Moore and Raymond Leonard, Sr.
He attended Page Elementary and graduated from Douglass High School in Oklahoma City, OK. He enlisted in the United States Air Force. After his tour in the military, he began working for Joplin-Pittsloury Express as a professional truck driver. He also drove for Scrivener Trucking and Kilpatrick Corporation.
He was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers: Winston Dale and George Ray Leonard. Two sisters: Shelia Leonard and Rosetta Tillis. One niece Sherrie Anderson (Sweetie Cakes).
