Dr. Dolly( Lee) Thompson was the wife of Rev. Willis J. Thompson. There are family stories of Dr. Dolly Lee being raised by a Robert E. Lee.after her parents were killed. She was supposed to be a orphan. There was found a Robert D. Lee listed as a Great Uncle , but no Robert E. Lee. Family records always listed her as daughter of Hart Lee. Of Palding ,Ga. Later she became a doctor, there are stories about her being kidnapped once during the Civil War. During the night. She was taken to a unknown location, to help a young mother give birth to her baby. Afterwards ,forced at gunpoint to throw the newborn into a fire. Told if she did not her family would be destroyed. Is there a connection to John Hartwell Lee, maybe he was named after Dollys father, Hart Lee? The Name Wyatt is in the Martin family several times, as well as Dolly, and the Lee names. If Dolly is not buried here beside her husband, she is somewhere in Arkansas. I will change this if proof is found of another location.
