Son of George and Mary Boyer Eader/Ater. Married Charity Eveland 30MAR1799 in Frederick County, MD and had 9 children.

Abraham came to Ohio in 1799. He also fought in the War of 1812 against the British and the Indians. He was mustered into Capt. Alkire's Company of Militia, organized in Deercreek Township, Pickaway County, Ohio, in 1817 and did service under General Harrison at Upper Sandusky.
