Rev. Willis J. Thompson. A Baptist. Born in Oconee, Georgia. Wife was Dr. Dolly (Lee) Thompson. Children: Wyatt, Susan, Martha, Joseph A., William A., James Z.,and Mary Elizabeth Thompson (Martin).He is supposed to be buried in this cemetery.Unmarked grave.According to family records. Dolly his wife is also supposed to be here also. Will change this if found different. Willis was a Blacksmith in a 1850 census of Buncombe, Clarke County, Georgia ,he is listed as 31 years of age at that time.He lived near his brothers,in the same cenus of 1850. Martin & Fredrick Thompson. His Siblings were Fredrick,Martin,Mary,William,Serena,Cynthia,Jane,and Margaret. Willis Thompsons parents were John Thompson of N. C.,and Nancy Scarborough of N. C.
