Many friends were sorry to learn of the death of Mrs. Manerva (sic) Stambaugh, who passed away at her home two miles west of Blain, on Friday night, shortly after the midnight hour. She had been failing for the past year and last July took worse and has been gradually weakening ever since. The Sunday before she died she took her bed. She was afflicted with kidney trouble and together with heart failure caused her death. In her illness she was tenderly cared for by Mr. and Mrs. David Stambaugh, who live in the same house. Her daughter, Mrs. Orner, of Harrisburg, came to her mother's bedside last Monday.

She was devoted to the church of her choice and worked diligently towards its upbuilding. Mrs. Stambaugh was a dear and kind woman and was a good neighbor.
