I have been organizing some of our family information when I found this page. I have some info to add. Edward Poe Day has 2 additional children than are shown on the list. These are Caroline and Euphama, which are listed below. There was one other child that died as an infant for a total of 12.

Euphama is my Great Grandmother.
Both Euphama and her Spouse John Frances Clement Urbain are buried in the Day Cemetery.

Edward Poe Day was named for his maternal grandfather and Revolutionary War soldier Edward Poe.

He married Elizabeth Williams about 1808 in Clermont County,Ohio.

Now known as the Emery Cemetery due to a subsequent owner, the old Day Cemetery is on the homestead grounds of Edward Poe Day, who came to Lawrence Twp., Marion Co., IN, in 1830. Ancestors buried there include Edward Poe Day, his wife Elizabeth Williams, and many members of his extended family, including his brother (Isaac Day and wife Rachel Trout), daughter (Evaline Day and husband John Bolander Stoner, and John's mother Sariah Yates). Edward Poe's brother Isaac Day (Find A Grave Memorial# 22001699) is buried near him.

The following is a quote from the History of Indianapolis and Marion County as researched by descendant Freda Mock Stoner (Find A Grave Memorial# 55797548) and written in August 1961: Edward Poe Day "emigrated to Ohio, and thence to Marion County in the fall of 1830. He located in the woods, on the land where 'Male' Emery lives, where he resided until his death. He was a farmer. His wife (formerly Elizabeth Williamson)and six of his eight children are buried here with him."

Great Grandfather of Edward Poe Day: Christopher Day (born circa 1680; died circa 1746), a landowner of Bucks Co, PA and his wife Martha, who came to Plumstead Township, Bucks County, PA, sometime before 1700 and owned land there by 1708. Christopher Day was English (or possibly Welsh), and may even have been born in the colonies or in England (or Wales). Christopher Day was one of the first settlers in Plumstead Twp., and one of its leading citizens at that time. A photo of the image of Christopher Day's tombstone is now in the Mercer Museum of Doylestown, PA. In 1726, Christopher Day's oldest daughter, Abigail, married an Irish immigrant tailor named Patrick Poe in Bucks County, which marriage became the first connection between the Poe and Day families.

Grandfather of Edward Poe Day: Matthew Day (son of Christopher Day), also called Mark Day. He moved from Bucks Co., PA to York County, PA, two miles from the Maryland line in 1774. He was married twice. He was the executor of the estate of his father. He died circa 1824.
