William H. White, 82, of Girard, died Friday, Oct. 7, 1994, at Miller Memorial Health Care Center in Andover, Ohio.
He was born in Girard on March 7, 1912, son of the late William H. and May Shreve White.
Mr. White worked for the New York Central Railroad for 35 years until his retirement. He previously farmed in Girard and Springfield and had worked on Great Lake freighters.
He enjoyed beekeeping and belonged to the International Order of Train Dispatchers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Stoneburner White, on April 6, 1994; they were married in 1942.
Friends may call at Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home, 11883 Main, East Springfield, on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service there at 2 p.m.. Joseph Ferrari, elder of the Jehoviah's Witnesses, will officiate.
Burial will be at Springfield Cemetery.
