Mrs. Mabel Carson Dukes, 79, of 2233 Frank St., Cayce, died Tuesday. Born in Orangeburg County, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Marvin and Effie Pearson Carson. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. John R. (Loyce) Slice Sr. of West Columbia and Mrs. Joseph A. Cannarella of Chapin; a son, Arthur S. Dukes Jr. of Chattanooga, Tenn.; sisters, Mrs. Ruby Bonnette and Mrs. Lucia Barr of Lexington and Mrs. Dollie Moore of Columbia; a brother, Herbert Carson of North; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at All Saints Episcopal Church, conducted by the Rev. George B. Salley Jr. Burial will be in Southland Memorial Gardens.
