Gifford L. Montgomery, 86, of Malvern went to be with the Lord on Wednesday November 14, 2012. Gifford was born January 27, 1926 in DeRoche, Arkansas to Charles and Cassie (Thomason) Montgomery. Gifford was a retired veteran who served our country in the United States Army. He liked gardening and fishing. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and also attended St. Paul Methodist Church in Malvern.

Gifford is predeasced by his parents; his wife Mettie Sue (Daniel) Montgomery; his son Randy Lewis Montgomery, his brother Coy Montgomery and his sister Clara Hartsell.

Gifford is survived by his daughter Rebecca (Ron) Dickinson of Malvern, his brother-in-law Arlie (Rose Mary) Daniel of Malvern, nephews, Dan and (Kathy)Jordan of Benton and Ray (Joyce) Hartsell 0f Clearmont, Florida; nieces Sallye Beth Jordan of Cabot, Arlene (Stan) Allen of Malvern and Lynn (Teddy)Johnson of Greenville, TX, one granddaughter, Cassie sue Lovell of Malvern.

Visitation will be held 6-8 PM at Atkinson
Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be November 17, 2012 at Ouachita Cemetery with Bro Tyler Thompson officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the United States Army.
