Dr. John Francis "Jake" Flood, 77, of 162 Paddock St., died at 9 a.m. Thursday at his home.
Dr. Flood practiced neurosurgery in Watertown from 1957 to 1983 and was a medical examiner for the New York State Workers Compensation Board from 1983 until retiring in 1996.
He was a former member and president of the medical staff at the former Mercy Hospital and, in 1980, was neurosurgeon at Lake Placid for the U.S. Olympic team.
