"The Atlanta Constitution" Atlanta, Georgia Wednesday, January 17, 1912 W.M. TOWERS, OF ROME IS CALLED BY DEATH Rome, Ga., January 16 - (Special) The death of W. M. Towers, one of Rome's most prominent citizens, occurred this morning at 6:30 o'clock. Mr. Towers, aged 66 years, had been in bad health for two years, and recently his condition became critical. He was a leading business man, confederate veteran and member of many civic and fraternal organizations. He leaves a large family connection, besides his immediate family, consisting of his wife, Reuben G. Towers, W. M. Towers, Jr., John Towers, Fulton Towers, Mrs. G. E. Maddox and Miss Mary Towers. The funeral will occur tomorrow, from the First Presbyterian Church.
