Born November 8, 1950 in Welch, he was a son of Odell and Manuel Steward of Carswell and the late Boyden Greer.
He had been a resident of Carswell for more than 35 years and was a graduate of Welch High School.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Additional survivors: son, Nathaniel Greer of Ohio; brothers, Alphonso Jackson of New York, James Steward of Detroit, Mi., and Melvin Steward and Ronald Steward, both of Ohio; sisters, Lorette Willis and Shirley Robinson, both of Chicago, IL., Margaret Jackson of Gary, In., Georgia King and Eleanor Donaldson, both of Los Angeles, and Mildred Jackson and Abeautis Smithson, both of New York.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at The Lovely Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Vivian with the Rev. Nathaniel Burroughs and the Rev. James Landers officiating.
Burial will be at the Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Littlesburg Road.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church.
