Cecilia "July" Grappe McLain, age 95, of Malvern passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at home with her family by her side. She was born July 16, 1917, in Natchitoches, Louisiana the daughter of William Abner and Della Maricelli Grappe.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, C.E. McLain; great-grandson, Resse Fruge; great-granddaughter, Morgan Anderson; brothers, William T. Grappe, Samuel Grappe, Lawson Grappe, James Daniel Grappe and Bernard Grappe; sisters, Mary Kate Grappe, Gabriel Grappe, Francina Grappe Desadier, Sadie Grappe Stroud and Mary Cora Grappe Prichard.
Left to cherish her memory, sons, C.E. "Jim" McLain, Jr. (Kathy) of Houston, Texas; daughters, Carolyn Cecilia McLain Walling ( Bruce, Sr.) of Malvern; sister-in-laws, Cecile Grappe of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Beatrice McLain of Mobile, Alabama; grandchildren, Karla Wall, Lori Mace, Cheryl Fruge, Bruce Walling, Jr. and Michelle Anderson; eleven great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
