Mrs. Bridgett Heeney Lee, 96, died at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Joe McCoy, 3619 Pearl Ave., Davenport, following an extended illness.
She was a former resident of the Wilton and Durant area.
Born Dec. 23, 1864, at Davenport, she was the daughter of Patrick and Mary Glynn Heeney. She married Thomas Lee on Dec. 21, 1883, at Tipton. Mrs. Lee was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, Wilton.
Survivors include two sons, Glynn and Lawrence of Davenport; three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Myrtle) Martin, and Mrs. Ralph (Ruth) Johnson of Tipton, and Mrs. Joe (Ethel) McCoy of Davenport; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers, three sisters, two sons and one daughter.
High mass is scheduled at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Wilton. Rev. Fr. Vincent J. Morrissey, officiating. Burial will be at Oakdale cemetery. Griffith Funeral Home in charge.
The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may call at Griffith's after 5 p.m. today.
