Lillie Mae "Punkin" Barnes, 64, of Syracuse, departed this life Friday, at St. Joseph's Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Robert Barnes Jr. of Syracuse; her mother, Pairle Foltz of Titusville, FL; three children, Daphinee L. Baxter (Robert) of Syracuse, Johnnie L. Tookes (Shannon) of Syracuse and Cedric M. Maeweathers (Karyn) of Titusville, FL; three sisters, Anna Hopkins of Syracuse and Hattie Brantley (Rev. Jesse) of Clay, NY and Bobbie Gray of Hartford, CT; two brothers, Howard Wright III (Rachel) of Camillus, NY and Octavius Wooten (Lashaun) of Palm Bay, FL; 36 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Friday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Peoples A. M. E. Zion Church, 2306 S. Salina St., with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in c/o Daphinee Baxter, 630 Sunflower Dr., Liverpool, NY 13088.
