Miss Jessica Hope Cornell, 23, of Cortland Road, New Paris died Tuesday, November 13th, 2012 in Colerain Township as the result of injuries sustained in an auto accident.

Jessica was born in York on Tuesday, December 6, 1988, the daughter of Roger A. and Karen E. (Daniel) Cornell of New Paris.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by Paternal Grandparents- Melvin & Virginia (LaBuda) Cornell, Schellsburg; Sister- Suzanne Cornell, Brooklyn, NY; Sister- Stephanie wife of Derek Nugent, New Paris; Brother- Jonathan Cornell and fiancée Samantha Klein, Pittsburgh; Boyfriend- Sam Gardner, Bedford. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Aiden, Ethan & Lorelei Nugent and Gabriella Cornell.

Jessica was a 2006 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School. She then graduated from York Technical Institute with a degree in pharmacy technology. Jessica was employed as a pharmacy tech at CVS Pharmacy in Bedford.

She enjoyed sports and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Penn State University fan. Jessica loved reading, movies and playing video games and was an animal lover. She enjoyed spending time with children, especially her nieces and nephews. Jessica was a daddy's girl, delighting in the time she got to spend with her father, particularly going out for breakfast with her dad.

She was a wonderful daughter, a loving granddaughter, a caring sister, a devoted aunt and a true friend. Jessica will be remembered for her dazzling smile that could brighten anyone's day, her kind spirit and the enthusiasm she with which she lived her life.

A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 17th, 2012 with Pastor Irvin Ernest officiating.

Interment will be held at Schellsburg Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home in Schellsburg.
