A GOOD MAN GONE.

H. A. Gleason Passes Away Very Suddenly At Audubon, Iowa.

Early this morning a telegram was received by Fred E. Gleason from his brother at Audubon, Iowa, stating that their father H. A. Gleason died suddenly last night at 10 o'clock. The news came with terrible suddenness and was a great blow to the family here.

Mr. Gleason, accompanied by his wife was on a visit to his son at Audubon and up to the time at his death was enjoying the best of health for a man of his age. He had fully recovered from his recent accident here at which time he sustained a fractured wrist.

H. A. Gleason was born in Massachusetts, October 19th, 1822, making him seventy-five years old to a day at the time of his death. He came to Minnesota from Wisconsin in 1867, locating at Blooming Prairie. Five years ago he moved to Austin, where most of his children were then located, since which time he has been one of our most respected citizens. He was a true man in every sense of the word. He has been a member of the M. E. church for the past 30 years, and was loved and respected by all who knew him.

Besides an aged wife, he leaves to mourn his death, six children, Dr. G. W. Gleason, Audubon, Iowa, Mrs. O. C. Moulton, Flushing, N. Y., E. J. Gleason, Rock Rapids, Ia., and Mrs. G. S. Burnham, F. E. Gleason and Mrs. Geo. A. Hormel of this city.

To the afflicted the community sends out its deepest sympathy.
