George Chapman, 100, went to be with the Lord on November 13, 2012. He was born in Old Texas, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Inez; his son, Carl and his daughter-in-law, Carolyn Chapman. George owned Chapman's Garage on 12th Avenue. George and Inez retired after 27 years. He was a member of East Hill Baptist Church since 1936.
He is survived by his sons, Marvin (Barbara), Robertsdale, AL, John, Pensacola; grandsons, Bart (Angie), Dallas, TX, Kirk, Columbia, S.C. and Mark (Paula), Birmingham, AL; daughter-in-law, T.C. Kennedy (Charlie), Pensacola; grandson, Tyler (Ann), Pensacola; granddaughters, Tricia Andrews, Pensacola and; 12 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2012, at East Hill Baptist Church until the 2:30 p.m. funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Hill Baptist Church, 3960 Spanish Trail, Pensacola, FL 32504 in George's memory.
