Mrs. Callie Harmon
Mrs. Callie Harmon, 65, of 306 Cottage street, died of carcinoma, at St. Francis hospital at 10:12 a.m. Sunday. She had been hospitalized a short time.
She was born Feb. 11, 1876, at Sallis Miss., the daughter of Frank and Mary Sallis. On De. 24, 1896, she was married to Thomas Harmon at Sallis and the couple came to Waterloo to live in 1944.
She was a member of Payne Methodist church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Thomas Robinson, 526 Iowa street, Mrs. Arthur Holloway, 128 Sumner street, and Effie of 306 Cottage street; three sons, Isadore of 512 Mobile street, Fred of 1303 1/2 East Fourth street, and Lamar of 306 Cottage street; a brother, Allen, of Durrnat, Miss., four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Her husband, two daughters, three sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.
The body is at the Kistner funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m Wednesday at the Payne Methodist church with Rev. J.W. Collins pastor, officiating and burial in fairview cemetery.
