Rachel Helmly Sanford
MIDWAY - Rachel Helmly Sanford, 55, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Heritage Park Health Care of Savannah after a long battle with cancer.
Rachel was a native and lifelong resident of Liberty County.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Betty Helmly and her younger brother, Billy.
She was a very loving mother to Kristyn and Katelyn and a second mother to Billy and Robert. She was also a very loving sister and aunt.
Survivors include her daughters, Kristyn and Katelyn, her son-in-law, Bruce; sisters, Sharon, Patty and Mary; brothers-in-law, Buddy and Jerry; granddaughter, Brooklynne; nieces and nephews, Butch, Cari, Billy and Robert and extended family members, Perry, Angie, Rachel, Bethany and Jacob as well as a host of other family members including great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel with the Reverend Brenda Martin Crawford officiating.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Memory of Rachel Sanford c/o Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel, 308 West Oglethorpe Blvd., Hinesville, GA 31313.
