Margie B. Benson 10/5/1919 - 9/28/2012 Margie was born in Rolla, ND and moved to Tacoma, WA after she married and had her first child. Mom passed away peacefully at home with her family around her. She devoted her life to raising her 3 children. Most of her years were spent lovingly taking care of her two sons who were developmentally and physically disabled. She was very active in ARC of Washington for over 20 years. Mom loved her family dearly and was always interested in the events of their lives. She was preceded in death by her son Dennis Benson and great-granddaughter Brooke Wells. Surviving family members include her son Wayne Benson, Everett; daughter Jean Wheeler (Marsha McLean), Tacoma; sister Faye McDougall, Rolla, ND; grandchildren Monica Wells (Jason), Orting; Deric Wheeler (Shawna), Madison, WI; and Jonathan Wheeler (Angela), Tacoma. Also, her great-grandchildren Zoey Wheeler, Ashley Wells, Morgan Wheeler, and Gage Wheeler The family would like to thank MultiCare Hospice for their caring support during a difficult time. Per her request there will not be a service. Remembrances may be made to The American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
