Funeral Services for Mr. J.B. Blair, age 78 of Lineville, will be held Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Rev. David Holcombe officiating. Burial will follow in the Clay County Memory Gardens.
Mr. Blair passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at the Lineville Health and Rehabilitation Center. A native of Randolph County, he lived most of his adult life in Clay County. He Worked as a forklift operator for Southwire Corporation and also worked at Ace Manufacturing Company, where he retired. Mr. Blair was a member of Christiana Baptist Church.
He is survived by one son, Joe Blair of Lafayette and one brother, Ralph D. Blair of Lineville; 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a number of extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Thrift Blair; his sister, Nannie B. Pitts and one brother, Shaffold Blair.
Pallbearers will be Joel Dunn, Alan Pitts, Doug Pitts, Freddy Pitts, Steve Waldrop and Benny White.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday October 22, 2008 and until service time on Thursday.
