August Eppenbach died at his home near Minneola on Oct 11,1903, at the age of 56 years.
The deceased was born in Germany Feb 23,1847.
When but a boy he came to America and lived for many years in Iowa.
In 1866 he was married to Mary Plessel, in Sloan Iowa and to them were born nine children, all of whom survive the father.

In 1880 Mr Eppenbach came to Holt County and has since resided here. The funeral was held last Tuesday, conducted by Elder Thomas C Bowden of Wisner, who spoke comforting words from Hebrews 12:1-2. Interment was made in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
