Mr. Charles Carlos Ladner, 74, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, in Century.
Mr. Ladner was a native of Bayville, Louisiana and resident of Century for the past 50 years. Mr. Ladner was a loving husband, father and papa. He was an avid fisherman, shrimper, hunter, professional carpenter and good neighbor to all.
Mr. Ladner is preceded in death by his son, Charles Carlos Ladner, Jr.; two brothers, Floyd Ladner and Shirley Ladner and one sister, Elaine Cruise.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Dottie Mae Ladner of Century; two daughters, Cherryl (Oliver) Dykes of Century and Tina Ladner Bankston (Joe Smith) of Flomaton; three brothers, Levoy Ladner of Gulfport, MS, RB Ladner Jr of Winona, MS and Larry Ladner of Duckhill, MS; two sisters, Nancy Behm of Jacksonville and Sara Scarbrough of Saucier, MS; four grandchildren, John Ladner, April Watson, Misty Lambeth and Lindsey Bagwell and 13 great-granchildren.
Funeral services will be Sunday, November 18, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with his daughter Cherryl Dykes officiating.
Burial will follow at the McCurdy Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 17, 2012, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Frank Gresham, Leon Smith, Rodney Morgan, Jason Lambeth, Charlie Britt and Jeffrey Britt.
Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC is in charge of all arrangements.
