Crash Fatal to City Man; Rites Friday

Timothy Woodruff, 28, 105 Crestview Dr., was fatally injured in a one-car accident about 6:55 Tuesday three miles east of Laurel on a county blacktop road. He was thrown from the vehicle with the car rolling on him, according to State Trooper Harold Woltjer, investigating officer. Woodruff died later at Marshalltown Community Hospital East.

Authorities say Woodruff, who was the driver of the auto, missed a curve with his car overturning in a ditch. Two passengers were treated and released from the same hospital.
