Erwin- Stephen Crain, 73, died Saturday at the home. He was a native of Flag Pond and the some of the late William and Emmaline Higgins Crain.
He was a former member of the Pigeon Valley Baptist Church at Hartford, Tenn. and in recent years was a member of First Baptist Church in Erwin.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rena Clark Crain; five daughters, Mrs Blaine Henley and Mrs. Guy Johnson, both of Erwin, Mrs. W.L. Amos of Smyrna, Mrs. Dan Broyles of Springfield, VA and Mrs. Robert Nielsen of Charleston, SC: one son, Lawrence Crain of Erwin, one brother, Lattie Crain of Flag Pond and one sister Mrs. Joe Street of Roan Mountain. *Source-Johnson City Press, 16 Jun 1963, Sun · Page 2
