Died. In Henry township, Aug., 16th, 1888, of rheumatic effects, Rebecca, wife of Hiram Blenden. The deceased was a sister of the well known Inman brothers, and although a long sufferer, was a patient Christian woman and died fully established in the faith. The funeral occurred Sunday and the remains were interred at the Remsen cemetery, Rev. E. S. Anabel officiating. - Le Mars Sentinel, August 24, 1888, page 3.

According to a family website by Jamees Williams on ancestry.com, Rebecca was the daughter of Eli Inman, Sr., the son of Asa and Mary Polly Inman. Rachel's father, Eli, was first married to Jane Coppock in Ohio, but Rebecca is a daughter of his 2nd marriage to Elizabeth Rudy, also born in Ohio. There were 10 children born to this 2nd marriage: Levi, Asa, David, Rebecca, Samuel, William, John, Fanny, Eli and Aaron. Rebecca was born Oct. 8, 1838 in Darke Co., Ohio.

Rebecca married Isaac T.Hunt (born about 1840 in Ohio) on August 27, 1859. They had two children: Rachel and Isaac.

Then Rachel married Hiram Blenden (born May 25, 1845 in Ohio) on May 10, 1866 in Iowa. They had 3 children: Fanny, Marion and Alva. Fanny and Marion were born in Iowa. Alva was born in Kansas. Hiram's gravestone is found in Haxtun Cemetery in Phillips County, Colorado. His death date is April 6, 1915.
