FUNERAL TODAY FOR HERMAN M. BLATZ
Funeral services for Herman M. Blatz, formerly associated with the paint firm of Bates & Blatz, Louisville, who died at 10:10 Saturday morning at his residence, Shepherdsville, Ky. will be held Monday afternoon….Burial in Cave Hill Cemetery.
Retiring in 1927, Mr. Blatz had also been associated with his father, the late Val Blatz, and his brother, Charles A. Blatz in the paint manufacturing business.
He was president of the Louisville Board of Aldermen under the administration of former Mayor George D. Todd, a member of Lorraine Lodge of Odd Fellows of which he was treasurer thirty-three years, and a member of Abraham Lodge of Masons. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frances Waterfill Blatz; a brother, Charles A. Blatz, and four sisters, Miss Katie Blatz, Miss Sophia Blatz, Mrs. Anna Bourman and Mrs. Charles Fritschner.
