Age 87, at 4:10 p.m. Fri. Sept. 2, 1966 at the J. B. Wilkinson Convalescent Home. Survived by sister Mrs. Annie Kirchner, Melrose, Minn and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service from the Lee E. Craile Funeral Home 1330 S. 3rd St at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday. Interment in Cave Hill Cemetery.

NOTE - Henry Berger was born Josef Riedel in Neustadt, Silesia, Prussia. He immigrated to the United States with his parents and sisters in 1881, settling in Spring Hill, Stearns County, Minnesota. He joined the military and settled for a time in California, before living in Kentucky.
It is unknown why he changed his name from Josef Riedel to Henry Berger.
