Retired Attorney Dies
James W. Beattie, 88, retired attorney and member of an old Louisville family, died at 9:05 p.m. yesterday at St. Joseph Infirmary.
Beattie attended the University of Virginia and the School of Law of the University of Louisville. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. He retired 60 years ago.
He is survived by three sons, Dr. James A. Beattie, Belmont, Mass; Capt. T. T. Beattie, San Diego, and Paul M. Beattie; a daughter, Mrs. Henry J. Stites, and nine grandchildren….. Burial wil be in Cave Hill Cemetery.
