He made a brief appearance in Lionel Richie's "Hello" video and danced in Michael Jackson's "Beat It" directed by Bob Giraldi, which is vaguely similar to Westside Story. He co-starred as one of the leaders of a gang, also choreographed for "The Mambo Kings," "Sarafina!" and "What's Love Got to Do With It." He wrote and directed for television shows such as "Fame," "Knots Landing," "Fresh Prince of Bel Air," and acted in movies as "Sparkle," "Polly," and "The Five Heartbeats."
