A laborer at Union Carbide, he was a member of First Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by his parents, King Roy and Epsie Hardy; wife, Hazel Hardy; and children, Lee Roy Hardy, Jr. and Gloria Jean Thompson, he is survived by his children, Merna Anderson Hardy, Gregory Hardy and Allison Hardy; grandchildren, Jonathan and Chris Thompson, Dax Pierson, Marie Hardy and Jackie Jones; 5 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Wilbert Hardy; nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Services will be Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Mainland Funeral Home Chapel in La Marque with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM followed by services at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Mainland Memorial Cemetery, Hitchcock, Texas. www.mainlandfhlamarque.com
