The son of Johannes & Helena Peterson, Adolph Wallin was 25 and a miner when he married Amelia Amanda, 25, daughter of Anders & Ingrid (Olson) Peterson. Attending the July 30, 1893 wedding, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain, Dickinson, Michigan, was Mr & Mrs Alfred Kindberg with H. Colliandor officiant.(Dickinson County Marriage Records 1878- 1891 as per license).

Mr. & Mrs. Adolph Wallin, 800 East B Street, Iron Mountain, received their friends from 2:30-6 Sunday, in observance of their 49th wedding anniversary. The party was arranged by their 5 children: Mrs. Gaston Moroni, Mrs. David Peterson, Mrs. Alvin Westrin, Marian & Walter.
The Wallins were wedded in Iron Mountain July 30, 1893.

WALLINS OBSERVE GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVESARY
A childhood friendship begun in Kalmar lan, Torsås kommun, Sweden, became a romance in Iron Mountain & on July 30, 1893, Amanda Caroline Anderson exchanged marriage vows wth Adolph Wallin.
Yesterday their Golden Wedding Anniversary was the occasion for a family reunion & dinner at the family home, 800 East B Street, Iron Mountain.
Mr. Wallin, came to the United States 2 years before Mrs. Wallin & has been a resident of Iron Mountain for 53 years. The first 11 months he worked at the Chapin Iron Ore Mine. He then became a building contractor. He has been a member of First Lutheran Church for 38 years.
Mrs. Wallin has been a member of the same church for 38 years.

ADOLPH WALLIN DIED MONDAY AT HIS HOME
Adolph Oscar Wallin, 76, former well known building contractor, died at 5 yesterday afternoon at home, 800 East B Street, after a long illness. He suffered a broken hip 2 years ago.
He had been a resident of Iron Mountain for some 55 years. He came to the United States in 1889, settling in Iron Mountain, where on July 30, 1893, he was wedded to Amanda Caroline Anderson. The couple observed their golden wedding anniversary last year.
Mr. Wallin was employed at the Chapin Iron Ore Mine for about a year & then decided to enter the construction field.
Many beautiful residences in & around Iron Mountain were built by him.
He also planned & built the General Hospital & served on is board for 11 years.
He was also building inspector for the city.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Mr. Wallin leaves his widow & 5 children: Mrs. Gaston Moroni, Marian & Walter, Iron Mountain; Mrs. David Peterson, Kenosha, Wis. & Mrs. Alvin Westrin, Detroit;
3 gradchildren; a sister, Mrs. Nels Peterson, Iron Mountain.
Services will be held at First Lutheran & burial in Cemetery Park.
