Keith Eugene Moorhous passed away Monday, November 12, 2012, at Bryan LGH East Hospital in Lincoln. He was 77 years old.

Keith was born on the family farm southwest of Culbertson to parents, Charles Faye and Minnie Margaretha (Leimbach) Moorhous. He was baptized on April 10, 1935 and confirmed on June 12, 1949 at St. John's Lutheran Church. He graduated from Culbertson High School with the class of 1952. On March 12, 1958, he entered the US Navy and served on the USS Midway with Attack Squadron 25. He was honorably discharged on May 20, 1960 and continued in the Reserves until March 11, 1964.

Keith was united in marriage to Carol Ann Norris in McCook on July 16, 1961. They made their home in the Culbertson community where they raised their three children. Keith farmed for a short time with his brothers. He later worked for the Hitchcock County Road Crew where he drove a maintainer for 46 years until his retirement.

Keith was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and Moorhous-Steffen-Propp VFW Post #6219. His hobbies included raising a huge garden, a fan of all sports especially the Huskers and his grandchildren's, and attending auctions.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Charles and Minnie Moorhous; his wife, Carol Moorhous on February 2, 2006; one sister, LaVerne Oleson; and four brothers, Melvin, Delmar, Wayne and Don Moorhous.

Survivors include his children, Jeffrey M. Moorhous and wife, Deb, of Alliance, Randolph G. Moorhous of Sparks, NV and Kathy S. and husband, Robert Homolka, of Swanton; grandchildren Tiffany Perlinger and her children Kaylee, Sean, Chloe and Bree Manley, Jennifer Perlinger, John Moorhous, Megan, Tori and Devin Homolka, and Asia (Van) Dorr and their children, Ranee Jackson and Noah Dorr; sister, Bethene Swartz of Grand Junction, CO; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be Friday, November 16, 2012, 2:30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Culbertson with Pastor Bradley Rick officiating. Burial will follow in the Culbertson Cemetery with Military Honors.
