Russian Soviet playwright, screenwriter, essayist and literary critic. Winner of the Stalin Prize, second degree (1946). He was the third child in the family: an older sister Zinaida (1904-1909), the second sister Tamara Malyugina Antonovna (1907) and a younger sister Malyugina Antonovna Hope (1910). Father - Anton Malyugin Lavrent'evich, mother - Anna Malyugina Gavrilovna, the village was home to parents under Popovka Kasimov. In 1906 the family moved from Malyugina Tbilisi to St. Petersburg, where his father opened Malyugina confectionery. In 1917 the mother with the children Malyugina was forced to go to the province of Ryazan home, where they lived until 1921. he graduated in 1925 then studied at the College of Printing (1925-1928), after which he entered the Institute of the History of Art (graduated in 1931). Postgraduate of the Institute of Art History in Leningrad (thesis - "Chekhov on the Soviet stage"). In the years 1940-1946, he was an assistant director on the literary side of (zavlitom) Bolshoi Drama Theater. In November 1943 in the besieged Leningrad organized a drama school BDT. Since 1940 a member of the Writers' Union and the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR.
