FAULKNER, Cullen Larkin
(Corporal, Company "D" 13th Alabama Infantry Regiment) Buried; Oakwood Cemetery Comanche County, Texas
Son of Willis Falkner (1787-Abt 1845)and Mary Gulledge (1788--) Husband of Mary Ann Theresa Bean.
According to his Confederate Pension application, he states he served in the 2nd AL Co. I Reserves, and the 13rth AL Infantry. Wife's Widow Pension # 8991 Comanche County, Texas.
After the war, he moved his family to Texas. Cullen Larkin and Theresa Bean Falkner were the first Falkner's to come to Texas circa 1868. They settled in the Shiloh community located in the southeast corner of Rusk County with nine of their ten children. It is assumed that their oldest son, Japhet, remained in Alabama since there is no evidence of his coming to Texas. Cullen Larkin and Mary Ann Theresa's children were; Japhet, Larkin Cullen, Morgan David, Mary Ann Theresa (May), Willie R., George Washington, Nancy, Alexander Larkin, Missouri M., and Clinton G.
