Ken Reade age 86 passed away November 4, 2012 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital of Ann Arbor. Born in 1926 and raised in Ann Arbor. He loved horses and all sports as a child and worked on a horse farm as a teenager. Ken served in World War II as a sergeant in the army, stationed in Paris France. He enjoyed Christmas with his family, and made his traditional toast for a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. He played football for the Detroit Lions semi-pro team the Bulldogs. Later he became an avid fastpitch softball player, than manager of many Ann Arbor City League Champs and State Champs in 1966. He married Doreen Uinsant in 1944, they were married 62 years. She preceded him in death in 2006, also 2 daughters Sandi and Bonnie, one son Larry and brother Bob preceded him. His survivors include daughter Karen (Jim) lamb, daughter Dee Dee Reade, 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
