He was born in Marion to the late Frank and Opal (Mittank) Worrick. Bill graduated from Jefferson Township High School in 1958 and married Wanda Knobeloch on August 6, 1960 in Gas City. She survives.
Bill was a production worker at Owens-Illinois Glass Company for 25 years and later retired from Eastbrook Community School in maintenance after 16 years of service. He was a member of the Upland Friends Church, a former member of the Upland Lions Club, and the Upland Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years.
Survivors in addition to his wife of 52 years, Wanda, are a son, Brian (Mitzi) Worrick of Houston, TX; two daughters, Diana (Rob) Whelchel of Marion, and Sandra (Mark) Johnson of Denver, CO; two brothers, Phil (Pat) Worrick of Upland, and Mike (Brenda) Worrick of Upland; three sisters, Betty (Bob) Van Gordon of Montpelier, Frances (Jim) Johnson of Hartford City, and Doris (Charles) Fortner of North Vernon; two sisters-in-law, Judy and Phyllis Worrick; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; an several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Tom Worrick.
Funeral Service is 10 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Jones-Smith Funeral Home, 259 N. Main St., Upland, IN, with Rev. Curt Blasiman officiating. Visitation is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Matthews Cemetery, Matthews, IN.
