Mary Louise Rees, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at the age of 85. It's often been said, she never met a stranger. She had a gift for gab, loved to laugh, and make people happy. She was preceded in death by her cherished husband "Frosty" Forest B. Rees. They were High School sweethearts and were married 57 happy years. She is survived by two sons, Thomas F. Rees and wife Sue Anne, and Robert R. Rees. Also surviving are three grandsons, Brandon C. Rees, Scott T. Rees and wife Stephanie, and Brett W. Rees, two great grandsons, Aiden and Wyatt Rees, one brother, Roy E. Teter and wife Mary Jane of St. Joseph, MO., and several nieces and nephews. Mary Louise was a member of The First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood, Eastern Star, Hi Neighbors, Houston Geological Auxiliary, and the Exxon Annuitant Club. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Thrower officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.
