This morning at 7:30 o'clock while Mrs. Mary Hutchins was in a buggy going to spend the day with her son, she was taken suddenly with an internal hemorrhage and in ten minutes passed away. Mrs. Hutchins has been a great sufferer for several years and has been confined to her bed the greater part of the time for the past eight months. At the time of her death she resided with her son, John, at 1705 29th Avenue.
During all of her illness she has been patient and loving, expressing her appreciation for the many kind words and deeds which her children and friends bestowed upon her. Mrs. Hutchins has been a widow since Oct. 9th, 1904. She was born at Brookhaven, Miss., Nov. 21, 1859, and was married in 1876. The family resided for many years at the old homestead near Utica, Miss. From there they came to Gulfport about nine years ago.
Her three sons, A.C. Hutchins, John D. Hutchins and Charles Hutchins, who survive her, all reside at Gulfport.
The funeral services will be held at the residence, 1705 29th Avenue, tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock and will be conducted by Rev. M.L. Burton, pastor of the First M. E. Church. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
