He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Raymond Kallmyer, Clarysville; Mrs. Hugh Crosten, Hoffman; Mrs. Earl Michaels, Eckhart; Mrs. Peter Whetstone, Frostburg; and five sons, Cpl. John Brode, home on furlough after serving almost two years overseas; Jennings Brode, Clarysville; Karl Brode, Hoffman; Harold and Philip Brode, Jr., at home.
He was a brother of John Brode, Cumberland, and had ten grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
