Carla Ann (Blaylock) Patterson, 72, of Cartwright, passed away on Saturday, November 11th 2012, with her family and friends by her side. Born June 24, 1940 in Calvin, she was the daughter of Bee and Lillian (Peters) Blaylock. Carla married Thomas Roy Patterson on May 31, 1956 in Durant.

Carla held many jobs throughout her life; but her favorites were mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Carla loved to take her grandchildren on trips all over America from Nevada to Missouri in her Chevrolet pickup lovingly known as "Red" by her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to bingo to meet and socialize with new and old friends and never meet a stranger. Roy and Carla ran a very successful greyhound farm in Longdale, Okla. Carla loved the challenge of raising and training the puppies, and the reward of watching them run on the tracks. Roy and Carla lived for many years in Longdale before retiring in Cartwright.

Survivors include her husband, Roy; two sons, Roy Dale(R.D.) Patterson and wife Brenda of Cartwright, Monte Patterson and wife Stephanie of Ringwood; granddaughters Amber Amason and Husband Chris of Norman, Brandi Kammerer and husband Justin of Norman, Samantha Patterson of Norman; grandsons Zachary Patterson and wife Emily of Woodward, Austin Hall of Cartwright, Nick Hough of Ringwood; six great-grandchildren, Reagan and Baylor Amason; Westyn Patterson; Garrett, Aaliyah, and Kaghan Hough; three sisters, Lela Graham, Norma Foster Copeland, Myrna Simms; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Ellis, Delmar, Harmon, Doyle, Claude, and Eugene Blaylock, sister Violet Smith, granddaughter Amy Barnes, and grandson John Patterson.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 14 at Lindsay First Baptist Church in Lindsay, Oklahoma with Brother Bill Blaylock officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay. Pallbearers will be Kent Blaylock, Brent Blaylock, Paul Blaylock, Kaleb Blaylock, Kelly Simms and Tony Simms. Services are under the direction of B.G. Boydston Funeral Home of Lindsay, Oklahoma. Condolences for the family may be made online at www.boydstonfuneralhome.com.

Carla was filled with passion and will be remembered for her fiery personality. She will be missed by her family and many friends.
