DUNKIRK--Dolores R. "Sis" Norris, 84, of Dunkirk, IN, passed away at 3:15 a.m. Sunday, November 11, 2012 while in the company of family members at I.U. Ball Hospital, Muncie, IN.
Dolores was born in Cambridge, Ohio, on July 26, 1928, the daughter of Harold E. Coffman, Sr., and Mary Elizabeth Geyer Coffman.
She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Dunkirk. "Sis" worked as a selector/packer at Armstrong Cork/Kerr Glass, Dunkirk, IN. She was an avid crocheter and seamstress and loved spending time with her family and was well known for her infectious smile.
She was the widow of Paul L. Norris, Sr.
Dolores is survived by a daughter, Sheila (husband-Sam) Jeffers of Dunkirk, IN; two sons, Steven A. Norris of Dunkirk, IN, and James "Pug" G. Norris (wife-Debby) of Albany, IN; 10 grandchildren, Paul Denver Norris, Keisa Norris, Stephanie McCowan (husband-Kevin), Victoria Murphy (husband-Darwin), Steven A. Norris II, Christopher Jeffers (wife-Robin), Elizabeth Loser (husband-Troy), Brandon Norris, and Matt Norris (wife-Elizabeth); 19 great-grandchildren; a half-sister, Pam (husband-Steve) Bell of Hartford City, IN; two half-brothers, Dwight Coffman (wife-Linda) of Kalamazoo, MI, and Daniel Coffman (wife-Nancy) of Dunkirk, IN.
Besides her husband, Paul L. Norris, Sr., she was preceded in death by her son, Paul L. "Bear" Norris, Jr.; three brothers, Harold Coffman, Jr., Raymond Coffman, and Milton Coffman; and granddaughter, Kerri Wolfe.
Friends are invited to call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at MJS Mortuaries Dunkirk Chapel. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Temple Baptist Church, Dunkirk, with Pastor Collins Glenn officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, Muncie, IN.
