James A. "Jim" Killion, 66, of Springfield, died at 11:50 PM on Sunday, November 11, 2012, at St. John's Hospital.

Jim was born October 2, 1946, in Springfield, the son of Elmer and Margaret Brents Killion. He married Marilyn Babb on April 16, 1982, in Springfield.

Jim attended Springfield High School and proudly served our country in the United States Army. He was a retired union sheet metal worker and enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and University of Illinois Basketball fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Elmer Killion, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Killion of Springfield; four children, four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery with military honors.
